An acoustic balladeer, Barbara Marion happily sits on the fence between genres, giving a salute to Americana, a wave to the lounge music of the 40s & 50s and a nod to jazz. The result is a classic sound that captures a spectrum of influences ranging from Kirsty MacCall to Julie London. Having been a member of Celtic Folk ensemble RĂșn she has extensive gigging experience performing at the likes of Glastonbury, Celtic Connections, and the Green Note. Since her debut EP launch at The Slaughtered Lamb in January, and performing at the likes of Southbank Centre’s Friday Lunch music series, Barbara Marion is over the moon to be returning to the Green Note with her solo act and long time accompanist Dave Matthews on guitar.
