While the doors to our beloved venue remain closed and the whole world as we know it seems to have turned upside down, we wanted to continue to do what we love doing! So…. we are very proud to present “Virtually Green Note… in the round”… a series of specially-curated, unique online musical events that will run every Wednesday and Friday evening at 8pm (UK time), streamed live to our website, our YouTube and Facebook page.

If you watch this show (and are able to) we would like to like to ask you to make a donation via our PayPal link and support the musicians during this difficult time. All the money raised for each show, will be divided  between the venue and the three artists playing on this date. AWKWARD FAMILY PORTRAITS: Awkward Family Portraits have been dishing out rockin’ roots music to the streets of Glasgow since 2016. With a roguish charm and signature style that elevates them far above the dusty stereotypes of the genre, AFP are a band that have one central goal and that is to get you to abandon all of the outside world’s hang-ups and move. The brainchild of four likeminded musicians with a wealth of originality and technical skill at their disposal, you only need to catch the briefest glimpse of one of their live shows to feel an insatiable urge to make your way into the crowd and let loose!

 

COPPER VIPER: Copper Viper is an acoustic folk duo from London, comprised of prolific songwriter and guitarist Robin Joel Sangster and fiddle/mandolin player Duncan Menzies.  Drawing inspiration from the British folk and American country/bluegrass traditions, Copper Viper’s music marries haunting melodies and intricate vocal harmonies with searing instrumental passages to create a stylistic blend that is at once familiar and unique.
Since the release of their debut album “Cut It Down, Count The Rings” in April 2019, Copper Viper have toured extensively in the UK, Europe and Canada, including a performance at Cambridge Folk Festival 2019 where they were nominated for the Christian Raphael Prize for new artists.

ME AND DEBOE: Me & Deboe are an acoustic duo hailing from the North and performing extensively across the UK, Europe and the United States.
With influences ranging from Kate Bush to Bowie and The Beatles, their distinctive, percussive sound and harmony has been described as “attaching butterfly wings to metal girders”.
Four new releases were mastered at Abbey Road and quickly followed by their lockdown series Alone Together, with new visual projects and releases coming this Autumn.
