ED HICKS AND HIS HOT COW LICKS perform Western Swing music featuring sweet country crooning, harmony twin fiddles and hot jazz solos. Western swing (also known as hillbilly jazz) emerged in Texas and the South Western United States and was popular in the 1930s and 40s. The band are Ed Hicks (The Nightcaps, The Savoy Cabbages), Sam Draper (The Woodlanders, Holloman) and Emily Smith (Ragged Out String Band, Firecrackers). They will be joined by one of their favourite bass players.
Doors open 7pm. Music starts 8.30pm. The venue is mixed seated and standing. Tables are limited and available on a first come first served basis so, if you’d like a seat, we recommend arriving early!
