TALENTBANQ presents…
SONIA LEIGH’s musical style defies categorization, seamlessly blending elements of country, pop, rock, and hip-hop. Her Southern Ground debut album, 1978 December, marked her rise in the country music scene. The album’s lead single, “My Name Is Money,” reached the Top 40 on US Country Radio. Leigh also co-wrote the Zac Brown Band’s #1 hits, “Goodbye in Her Eyes” and “Sweet Annie.”
Currently, Leigh is involved in multiple projects that showcase her diverse musical styles. She is one-half of the hip-hop/rock duo TYGR TYGR (with Daphne Willis, Position Music), where she performs under her hip-hop alias, ELYVN:ELYVN. Additional projects include the lo-fi ’90s hip-hop duo Indica Girlz and the enigmatic grunge-pop project Rob The Man, both with follow-up releases anticipated in 2025.
Leigh has toured globally alongside renowned artists such as the Zac Brown Band, Blackberry Smoke, Amos Lee, Melissa Etheridge, Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, Joan Jett, and many others. Returning to her country and Americana roots, Leigh’s upcoming album, Songs About Ghosts, promises to captivate listeners with its heartfelt storytelling and raw energy. This highly anticipated full-length release is set to drop in May 2025.
