A very special songwriters night featuring three critically acclaimed troubadours – Lotte Mullan, Charlie Dore and Jinder – who will be sharing the stage to play ‘In the round’ Nashville style. They will share the stories behind the songs and collaborate in what is set to be a spine tingling evening of acoustic music from three of the UK’s finest singer-songwriters.

The British music press raved about Lotte Mullan’s self released debut album ‘Plain Jane’ christening her Alt-folk sound ‘Anglicana’. Dubbed as the female Bob Dylan Lotte has buillt a dedicated following with her intimate story telling songs; she spent two years on the road touring solo before packing her bags and heading to Nashville to make an album with country rockers Band Of Horses. The first single ‘I Hope It Breaks Your Heart’ immediately trended on Folk Radio’s Soundcloud, hitting over 80k streams and was played on BBC Radio 2 and 6 music.
Fiercely DIY, Mullan turned down a major label deal with Warners and runs her own label Raindog Records. A blog she was writing about her misadventures in the music business was snapped up for a book and film deal by Elton John’s Rocket Pictures and Ridley Scott Productions used four of Lotte’s songs to soundtrack their latest short film ‘Kismet Diner’. The film has had over 3 million hits on Youtube and won first prize at Manhattan Short film festival.

Best known as one of the UK’s most respected songwriters, Charlie’s own music, however, reflects her roots-acoustic background and is best described as eclectic, contemporary folk. She enjoys a multi-faceted career that also includes acting in film, TV & radio, writing for radio and composition for film & TV and comedy improvisation.
Her songs have won two Ascap awards, an Ivor Novello nomination, both the Overall Grand and the Folk Prize from the International Acoustic Music Awards and Best Album Lyrics from the Indy Acoustic Project for her album Cheapskate Lullabyes.
She is one of a handful of UK writers to have success across many genres, defined by the range of artists to have covered her songs, including George Harrison, Tina Turner, Celine Dion, Lisa Stansfield, Paul Carrack, Ricky Ross and Jimmy Nail for whom she co-wrote the UK No 1 Ain’t No Doubt.
Her song Strut reached No 4 for Sheena Easton in the US, while her own single Pilot of the Airwaves reached No 11.
She starred opposite Jonathan Pryce in the award-winning film ‘The Ploughman’s Lunch’, worked in theatre, fringe and West End, radio with Eric Idle and co-founded and performed at comedy-impro venue The Hurricane Club for seven years, working alongside many comedy icons including Bill Bailey, Harry Hill and Robin Williams.
Charlie released her 8th album, Milk Roulette in 2014 and is currently writing & recording her 9th and touring across the UK.

JINDER:
Jinder is an artist most often described as “the songwriter’s songwriter”. Despite two major label record deals, he has plied his trade in relative obscurity for 18yrs, scattering his jewelled songcraft over nine artfully constructed albums. His work has a strong cult following and is adored by those in the know, often drawing comparisons with fellow shadow-dwelling denizens such as Bill Fay and Townes Van Zandt. 2015’s exquisite ‘Traditional Dark’ LP is a deeply personal yet ethereal work, walking a faintly etched line between acoustic sadcore and alternative country/folk.
