“These songs look deep into the truth of my life as I am today. I had to face the wounds without flinching and learn to celebrate the scars. We all have them and they make up who we are. Instead of being ashamed of the scars we should rejoice. It means we’ve healed.” – Eve Selis

New CD, Dark Sky Blue, releasing April 12th on all digital and streaming platforms
EVE SELIS releasing three singles from the album prior to album release
1- Dark Sky Blue – 3/22
2 – Grace – 3/29
3- I Choose Love – 4/5

All songs were written/co-written by Selis and produced by Alex Wong and unconditional love is the concept that runs throughout the songs on this CD.

Selis wanted to do something new – prayed about it asking God to send her new musical experiences The songs from this collection were written from a place of vulnerability while walking through one of the darkest seasons of Selis’ life as she lost her brother to suicide – it took six years to write this project because she has been living these songs. Selis is sharing Dark Sky Blue with a grateful, hopeful, broken heart and experiencing extraordinary healing through the power of her music is wanting to share that hope and healing reminding listeners who are navigating these same feelings that they are not alone.

This period of quiet introspection led the seasoned performer on a journey of honest self-discovery and planted the seeds of a new artistic vision in her fertile heart. Her love and passion for singing has become even more meaningful over the years as she experiences the two-way, healing power of music.

How she describes her music – if U2, Sara Bareilles, and Jeff Buckley had a baby that’s what this record sounds like. Selis has been a singer for as long as she can remember – she grew up in the San Diego region and as a youngster began performing in her local church band, all the while dreaming of becoming a rock star.

After an abortive spell at university studying musical theater and English, Selis began a career performing, writing and recording her own music and has released 10 albums to date. She has gigged at the infamous Abbey Road Studios, toured Europe, and her last studio album, See Me With Your Heart was produced by GRAMMY-award winning producer Kenny Greenberg (Allison Moorer, The Mavericks, Joan Baez).

Selis got married and in raising a family, she became a working mother whose life has been about balancing her music career, raising 4 beautiful children, and learning more than she ever wanted to know about brain tumors…

Selis resides in Franklin,Tennessee where she continues to work on her music and is in the process of booking touring dates to promote her new music and mission for the remainder of 2024.
