Idle Women is a new musical, written and performed by THE BUSY LIZZIES theatre group and has been wowing audiences at arts festivals along the South Coast in 2023. Based on the women working on canals during World War Two, it has themes that resonate today: purpose, friendship, gender, sexuality, and identity, with great tunes!
The Busy Lizzies are now taking to the road in a series of concerts where they’ll share the wonderful tunes which fizz along at the centre of the show, backed by their live band. It’s jazzy, it’s skiffely, its romantic, it’s tearjerking, it’s inspiring, it’s fun!

Doors open 1.45pm. Music starts 2.30pm. The venue is mixed seated and standing. Tables are limited and available on a first come first served basis so, if you’d like a seat, we recommend arriving early!
