Folkroom run a monthly matinée series at Green Note with a chance to catch up with established folk stars and discover new talents on the scene. Folkroom’s Green Note Matinées offer everyone an accessible and welcoming environment to discover folk music, with a family-friendly environment and acts of the highest calibre.
JIM CAUSLEY: Jim Causley is one of the most renowned names on the English trad scene. Described by Mojo magazine as ‘the finest singer of his generation’, he’s released some of the most iconic folk records of the 21st century and been nominated for no less than 6 BBC Folk Awards. His work champions, above all else, the music of the West Country, where he grew up.

Doors open 1.45pm. Music starts 2.30pm. The venue is mixed seated and standing. Tables are limited, and available on a first come first served basis, so if you’d like a seat, we recommend arriving early!
