Born in the wilds of Patagonia, Argentina, and now making waves in the vibrant music scene of London. Matu is a singer-songwriter with a truly international background, with roots tracing back to Ireland, the Netherlands, and Italy. Embracing the essence of alternative folk, Matu crafts songs that delve into personal experiences with introspective lyrics and stirring melodies.

Matu found limited opportunities to showcase his music style in Argentina’s scene, prompting him to venture into the world of Twitch streaming in 2018. Since then, he’s cultivated a vibrant community, became a Twitch Partner and currently maintains a consistent streaming schedule.

Before moving to London he released his debut EP “BECOMING” with songs like “The Days Don’t Come Back” that got into Indie Folk Central’s prestigious playlist “Best Indie Folk of 2020”

From the iconic venue The Troubadour, where he celebrated the launch of his 2nd EP “Back Of My Bones” to the dynamic stages of Oslo Hackney and The Finsbury, Matu captivates audiences with raw and emotive performances.

Recently awarded a grant from Help Musicians, Matu is gearing up to release his highly anticipated upcoming EP. The first single, “Your Show,” will drop on November 15th, and he’ll be celebrating its release with a special gig on December 9th at The Green Note (basement), marking his first live performance after the single’s launch.

+ Support from BOZARD: Bozard is a touring Musician and Songwriter based in London. Originally from Sicily, he’s been making a name for himself on the Blues and Folk circuit of the country for his unique guitar work and poignant delivery. Blending the tradition of Rural Blues with his slide and resonator guitar, and a songwriting full to the brim with sparkle and idiosyncrasies, he’s forged a brand of Folk-Blues that’s only his own. Following the release of “Moonlanding” in 2022, he’s regularly played some of the most revered grassroots venues of the Uk – such as Ain’t Nothing but (London), Spiritual Records (London), Green Note (London), Cafe #9 (Sheffield), Folklore Rooms (Brighton), Hydeaway (Frome), just to mention a few – touring and collaborating with fellow troubadours Pearl Fish and Rob Quo amongst others.

“His music is in perpetual movement, harbouring the seeds of restlessness and surrendering to some sort of constant pilgrimage to the next Winter.” Obscure Sound
