RACHEL NEWTON: A founder member of The Shee, The Emily Portman Trio and The Furrow Collective, Rachel also writes and performs her own solo material, releasing albums The Shadow Side in 2012 and Changeling in 2014. Rachel recently started working with Scottish/Norwegian band Boreas, was one of the eight musicians to collaborate in The Elizabethan Session and her own trio features Lauren MacColl on fiddle and Mattie Foulds on percussion. As well as voice and harp, Rachel also plays fiddle and viola and works across a range of performance platforms including theatre and storytelling.
