THE NICHE FAMILY: The Niche Family, originate from Rutherglen, Scotland and Toronto, Canada. Former members of the Glasgow Freak Folk ensemble, The Hoojamamas, brothers Stuart and Andrew Neil joined up with Lauren Thompson to form the band following an impromptu jam session that arose from the celebration of Stuart and Lauren’s wedding in 2021.

The trio focus on close vocal harmonies and strong songwriting drawing from Folk, Americana and Country influences.

The Niche Family performed their first show filling in for an absent Coolio at Eden Festival in 2022. They have supported up and coming Scottish artists such as Alice Faye and Sam Shackleton in Glasgow and Edinburgh respectively.

Recently, The band has expanded their lineup to include Aberdeen folk singer Adam Thom on banjo and Paisley born multi instrumentalist Timmy Alan enriching their live performances. They have just completed their debut EP due to be released in 2024.

With their unique blend of Country, Americana and Folk melodies plus the richness of their diverse backgrounds, The Niche Family is poised to leave an indelible mark on the hearts of those who have experienced their music.

Doors open 7pm, Music starts 8.30pm. The venue is mixed seated and standing. Tables are limited, and available on a first come first served basis, so if you’d like a seat, we recommend arriving early!
