Zac Taylor Schindler and Lewis James are coming together to recreate one of their favourite Duo albums ‘Kids: Live at Dizzy’s Club’ by Joe Lovano and Hank Jones.
Zac and Lewis first met at the Royal Academy of music, where they’ve been honing their craft and are now nearing the end of their studies. Both musicians have been deeply influenced by Lovano and Jones as well as a wide range of other jazz greats such as Warne Marsh, Wayne Shorter, Art Tatum, and Teddy Wilson. Their passion for these artists will
bring a fresh perspective to this classic album and create an interesting dialogue between different corners of jazz history. On top of this, Zac and Lewis will bring their own unique voices and ideas as young, emerging artists. Don’t miss this exciting night!
Doors open 7.30pm. Music starts 8pm. The venue is mixed seated and standing. Tables are limited, and available on a first come first served basis, so if you’d like a seat, we recommend arriving early!
